Michael Hardman

I am a postdoctoral research assistant at the University of Oxford, funded by the TDoTP program grant. My research focuses on the fundamental physics of energy and particle transport in magnetically confined fusion plasmas. I am interested in applying asymptotic theory to plasma physics problems to obtain reduced models which allow for efficient, high-fidelity simulations of plasma turbulence. I am the current lecturer of the MMathPhys course “Collisionless Plasma Physics” at the University of Oxford.
