On Friday 3 September 2021, the Turbulent Dynamics of Tokamak Plasmas (TDoTP) programme will be holding its first Advanced Graduate School (AGS) aimed at PhD students and postdoctoral research assistants.
The AGS will give early career researchers a comprehensive grounding in the fundamentals of plasma turbulence that will enhance their understanding of the subsequent EU-US Transport Task Force Meeting (6 – 10 September 2021) and contribute to their ongoing personal development.
The AGS will be a virtual event conducted via Zoom and there is no registration fee. You do not have to be registered for the EU-US Transport Task Force Meeting in order to attend.
The following tutorials will feature as part of the AGS programme:
- Core Transport – Professor Felix Parra Diaz, University of Oxford
- Impact of Fast Ions – Dr Michael Fitzgerald, Culham Centre for Fusion Energy
- Pedestal Physics – Professor Howard Wilson, University of York
- ELM-Free Reactor Alternatives – Dr Eleonora Viezzer, University of Seville
