Dr. J. Chowdhury is working as a Research Fellow at the Centre for Fusion Space and Astrophysics, University of Warwick with Prof. Ben McMillan. His research interests include understanding the physics of microturbulence and concomitant particle and heat transport in tokamaks that potentially delay the production of fusion energy for civil use. Currently, he is involved in studying the kinetic ballooning mode and energetic ion physics using global and local gyrokinetic simulations. He also is involved in research comparing MHD and gyrokinetic predictions for certain instabilities.
